Refrigerator/Ice Maker

Something not working?
Use the quick reset if the refrigerator lights don't come on, the water dispenser doesn't work, the ice maker isn't making ice, or the display shows "Sb."

Quick Reset
Press and hold the – and TEMP F-C controls at the same time for 5 seconds.

If that doesn't work:

  1. Turn OFF both the refrigerator and freezer breakers. The breakers are behind the master bedroom door.
  2. Leave the power OFF for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn the breakers back ON.
  4. Repeat the Quick Reset if needed.

Need ice while the main ice maker resets?
It may take several hours for ice production to resume and longer to refill the bin. If you need ice in the meantime, a separate ice maker is available at the upstairs wet bar.

If the issue continues, please contact the management company.

Grill

Bull Brahma 5-Burner Grill

  1. Open the grill lid before lighting.
  2. Turn the gas timer knob ON. The timer is located inside the cabinet below the grill.
  3. Push in and slowly turn the desired burner knob toward HIGH. The burner will ignite.
  4. Adjust to the desired temperature.

Grill lights: Press the small round button on the far left.

When finished: Turn all burner knobs OFF and turn the gas timer knob inside the cabinet to OFF.

Please do not leave the grill unattended while in use.

Fireplaces

To turn on:

  1. Make sure the pilot light is on.
  2. Press the desired wall timer button.
  3. Allow a few seconds for the fireplace to ignite.

Press OFF to turn the fireplace off before the timer ends.

Important: Please do not touch, move or rearrange the fireplace logs. Improper log placement can be unsafe.

Caution: The fireplace screen becomes extremely hot and remains hot after the fireplace is turned off. Allow it to cool completely before touching.

If the pilot light is not on or the fireplace does not ignite, please call the management company.

Telescope & Stargazing

Quick Start

  1. Take the telescope outside onto the deck for the best views.
  2. Remove both lens caps.
  3. Point toward the moon, stars or distant landscape.
  4. Turn the side knobs to focus and move the telescope slowly when changing your view.

For the best view: Give your eyes 5–10 minutes to adjust to the dark, start with the lowest magnification, and turn off nearby porch lights when possible.

Stargazing apps: Stellarium Mobile, Night Sky and SkyView Lite can help you identify what you're seeing.

Important: NEVER aim the telescope at the sun. Permanent eye damage can occur instantly.

When finished: Please replace the lens caps, return any accessories, and bring the telescope back inside after each use.

Games

Board and card games are located in a cabinet behind the upstairs bar.

To connect: Open Bluetooth on your phone or tablet and select PYLEUSA.

Bedside Chargers

We've placed charging cables by the beds for your convenience. Please feel free to use them during your stay—we just ask that you leave them in place for our next guests to enjoy.

Traveling with your dog?

We're happy to welcome your four-legged family members to Top Shelf!

Please keep pets off the furniture and avoid leaving them closed in bedrooms or bathrooms when unattended, as anxious pets may scratch doors or trim in an unfamiliar place.

Pet Areas: For quick potty breaks, dogs may use the gravel area just off the driveway. There is also a pet area downstairs near the firepit. Please keep dogs off the mini-golf course, bring a waste bag with you, and clean up after your pet.
